According to Trello contributor, Kat Boogard, here are a few signs that your team may be overwhelmed:
- Energy levels are dipping. Studies show that “work-related stress is directly correlated to fatigue.” When employees who are normally energetic and proactive are more reactive and disengaged, “it’s time to take a closer look at what’s happening.” When we are pushed to our limits, it’s common for us to feel tired.
- Work quality is decreasing. When your team or individual employees deliver work with more errors than usual or the overall quality is decreased,
While new employees are usually not seen as leaders, young employees can still develop leadership skills. Employees who have just started at a company have not yet earned the respect of their peers. Older employees tend to believe that younger workers are arrogant, and see their attempts to lead as disrespectful. It is important for young employees to take on tasks while acting respectfully, to be able to develop their skills.
Often, lack of confidence is what holds young leaders back the most.

If we want to build organizations that are consistently innovative, Dr. Hill says we must practice new approaches to leadership.
There is rarely one person responsible for widespread innovation.
